Bob Pitts has been named a VIP member for 2011-2012

KNOXVILLE, TN, January 6, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bob Pitts, Esq., President of Pitts and Lake, P.C., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.

Having amassed 30 years in his position, Mr. Pitts serves as shareholder and co-founder of Pitts and Lake, P.C., a firm which focuses on the dispute and resolution of patent and trademark matters. He is a seasoned attorney that has polished his knowledge of intellectual property, litigation, licensing and portfolio management during his 35-year career. Mr. Pitts is also active in counseling companies and individuals connected with patent and trademark portfolios, and patent and trademark prosecution. Prior to obtaining a law degree, Mr. Pitts worked as an electrical engineer, and attributes his background in the field to his current success.

A graduate of The University of Tennessee, Mr. Pitts received a Master of Science in electrical engineering in 1970 and a Bachelor of Science in engineering physics, with honors, in 1969. He went on to further his education at the same university, and obtained a JD in 1974. He remains involved with The University of Tennessee and served as a member of the board of advisors for the MS-MBA program for the 2006-2007 school year. Mr. Pitts keeps abreast of his field as a member of the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association, Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and ABA. Additionally, he is associated with the Federal Circuit Bar Association and Tennessee Association for Justice. A four-time honoree by Super Lawyers, his dedication to the field of law he has also been recognized as a five-time honoree by Business Tennessee - Best Lawyers List.
