NEW YORK, NY, December 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Two female NYPD officers are accusing a supervisor of sexual harassment.

According to CBS New York (12/5/2011), the two officers allege Lt. Jason Margolis, is known around the 103rd precinct in Queens for hitting on female subordinates despite being married.

One officer pursued her sexual harassment complaint internally with the NYPD and the investigation was closed, reported CBS New York. The officer said the sexual harassment by Margolis continued despite her sexual harassment complaint.

She claimed she is now being retaliated against.

The officer filed a discrimination complaint with the NYS Division of Human Rights dated November 8, 2011.

"Under New York state and federal laws, it is illegal for an employer to retaliate against an employee who has reported sexual harassment in the workplace," said New York civil rights violation lawyer David Perecman, founder of The Perecman Firm, one of New York's civil rights violation law firms.

The second female officer said Margolis sexually harassed her, too. She reported the harassment in the workplace after hearing about the treatment of the first officer, New York civil rights violation lawyers at The Perecman Firm understand. This second officer filed an internal complaint with the NYPD, reported CBS NY.

A NYPD spokesman said the sexual harassment in the workplace and retaliation complaints are under investigation.
