November 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomson Reuters Australia is this week announcing its 2012 Tax and Law Annuals. Following customer demand, the entire range will be available as eBooks for the first time, delivered via Thomson Reuters ProView , a unique professional eReader app specifically developed for the needs of legal and tax practitioners.

The eight new annuals, which are available now for pre-order and are due to be published from January 2012 in print and electronic form, are set to offer users market-leading content, with commentary researched and written after extensive customer engagement and feedback.

The range includes Australian Tax Legislation 2012, Corporations Legislation 2012, Australian Superannuation Legislation 2012, GST Legislation Plus 2012, Corporations Court Rules and Related Legislation 2012, as well as the two flagship publications from Thomson Reuters:

• Miller's Australian Competition and Consumer Law Annotated - 34th edition 2012 - written by Russell V Miller, internationally recognised competition law practitioner, and Chairman and Partner of the law firm, Minter Ellison.

• The Australian Tax Handbook 2012 - the premier tax reference book - from Thomson Reuters. This most comprehensive edition has undergone extensive structural renovation and improved chapter arrangement, along with the latest examples, ready reckoners and tables, all helping users get on top of information, fast.

Thomson Reuters has invested heavily in developing ProView following customer feedback that existing eBook applications are not geared up to cope with the demands of professional content, nor the needs of the professional users. ProView now offers users a true professional-grade experience of eBooks with features including dynamic table of contents, synchronisation of user notes across iPad and browser versions and across editions, copying, highlighting and note taking, all managed via an iPad or web browser.

Jackie Rhodes, CEO of the Thomson Reuters Legal, Tax & Accounting ANZ, said: "We're committed to listening to and acting on customer feedback and delivering the very best content. Our move into the eBooks market is an extension of this.

"We recognise the changing needs of professional users and their desire to access content when and wherever they need it, whether it's in court, on the move or in a meeting. They don't just want to read these books in a linear manner. We're confident our eBooks on ProView will set the agenda for digital publishing in the industry moving forward, backed up by the trusted and market leading content for which Thomson Reuters is so well known."

Print Annuals and eBooks are now available for pre-order from 24 October 2011 with live demonstrations of the ProView eBook functionality available. Bulk discounts and print/eBook combination packages are also available.
